Politics of Memory as the Constitutional Factor of New Identity during the Transition from Authoritarian Regimes

In July and October 2015, members of the research team went to Georgia, where they visited Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, and Ilia State University and Grigol Robakidze University in Tbilisi. The purpose of their visits was to carry out consultations concerning the application of the politics of memory tools during the transition of the system in the Republic of Georgia and to conduct preliminary studies. They also did field research in the most important memorial sites, such as Joseph Stalin Museum in Gori, the Soviet Occupation Museum and Mtatsminda Pantheon of Writers and Public Figures.
