Academic experience

Professor of Nicolaus Copernicus University (lawyer, political scientist). From 1 October 2015 - Head of Department of Political System of Poland on the Political Science and International Studies Faculty at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. She is also the director of the Centre of Eastern Studies and Vice President of Torun branch of the Polish Association of Political Science. She is the editor-in-chief of the scientific journal "New Eastern Policy" (semi-annual) issued jointly with the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty as well as deputy editor of the journal "Athenaeum. Polish Political Science Studies" (quarterly) and “Polish Political Science Yearbook” (yearbook). She is also the author of over 350 scientific publications, including 10 independent monograph published in: Polish (a.o. Systemic status and functions of the Polish Parliament after the accession to the European Union; The organization and functioning of the Assembly of the Republic of Portugal; The structure and functioning of the European Parliament), English (Contemporary China. The conditions of the State) and Chinese (欧洲议会与欧盟各国国家议会 (European Parliament and national parliaments of European Union countries). Her main academic interests include European parliamentarism, Asian issues, the political system of Poland, the constitutional systems of countries in the world, local governments, the European Union, unfair competition. For scientific and organizational achievements she received seven awards. Her doctoral dissertation "The European Parliament and the national parliaments of the Member States of the European Union" was considered as the best doctoral dissertation in the field of political science in Poland in 2004. She has participated in numerous Polish and international conferences and scientific congresses. She is the inventor and chief scientist of Asian international conferences and congresses held for 10 years under the auspices of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, which are included among the most important events of this kind in Europe. She is the scholar of Polish Historical Mission at Julius-Maximilians University in Würzburg, founded by Bavarian State Office on August 2015 r. She directs the research project "Memory as an element in shaping a new identity during the transition from an authoritarian system" (sygn. NCN - 2012/05/E/HS5/02722).

3. RESEARCH PROJECTS

  • 1.Participation in the Polish-Swiss research project on the occasion of the 50th anniversary KNPN - program carried out with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (the Department of Promotion, Department of Asia and Pacific), the Polish Embassy in Bern and the Ministry of Defence (the Social-Educational Department). Completion of the project took place in July 2003. (Publication of materials - February 2004). The Project Manager was Dr. Marceli Burdelski UG and ISP PAN and Colonel Dr. Eugeniusz Jendraszczak.
  • 2. Representing the Department of Political Science of the Nicolaus Copernicus University at International Youth Regional Parliament in the Curie High School in Chicago in March 2003. Congress was aimed at presenting the Polish youth the opportunity to study in Poland.
